PERFORMING ARTS

YEAR 7 BAND

Year 7 Band students have had a great introduction to ensemble-based music with a performance by Busted Chops, an all-star funk fusion hip-hop unit brought together by band leader and saxophonist Jess Mahler, and featuring our own Colleen Wurfel on Trombone. Students left the performance of these amazing musicians, enthused about the start of their musical journey.

All band students will need to bring their instruments (sticks/mallets for percussionists) at school for Wednesday band classes starting 5 March.

MARY POPPINS: REHEARSALS BEGIN!

What a joyful first rehearsal we had on Tuesday! Our cast is comprised of students from all year levels from 7-12, and the room was full of anticipation and excitement as we started learning the iconic 'Supercalifragilisti.....' (you know the rest!). Thank you to all the families who are supporting their kids to be involved in this magical experience and stay tuned for updates leading up to our production in August.
