7S Textiles students have been creating some outstanding designs as part of their bunting project. Students have demonstrated a high level of creativity and skill through their detailed rendering techniques, thoughtful annotations, and careful selection of materials and production methods.
Throughout the design process, students have explored how colour, pattern, texture, and construction techniques can be used to communicate their ideas effectively. It has been wonderful to see students applying their knowledge of textiles while developing confidence in both design and practical skills.
We are incredibly proud of the effort and enthusiasm shown by the class and look forward to seeing their final bunting products come to life in the coming weeks.

9/10 Textiles students have been developing their fashion illustration skills and creating some fantastic designs using croquis templates as the foundation for their ideas.
Students have explored different styles, garments and design details, showing creativity and growing confidence in their fashion illustration techniques. They have also been putting their measuring and marking skills into practice as they draft and create their own pattern templates for their shorts, carefully considering measurements, accuracy and construction requirements.
There have been some awesome outcomes emerging, with students demonstrating great attention to detail, creativity and individuality in their designs. We are excited to see these ideas continue to develop as students move from their illustrations and patterns into the making process.
Great work, Year 9/10 – we can’t wait to see your finished shorts!

9/10 Designed Solutions students are putting the finishing touches on their custom wooden mallets, and the results are fantastic!

Each student has crafted a beautiful hardwood mallet and then used their own investigation and creativity to personalise it for a special person in their life. From unique stain combinations and wood burned designs to painted finishes, every mallet is completely individual. Students have also carefully designed and shaped their handles to create a comfortable, personalised final product.
It has been fantastic to see the students develop their woodworking skills while expressing their creativity and designing with a specific end user in mind.
Brilliant work, everyone!

Our Robotics students have begun exploring building and coding with their LEGO SPIKE Prime kits, and they are already creating some fantastic robots!

Students have worked through tutorials using the illuminating bricks, colour, distance, force and gyro sensors, developing their understanding of how sensors can help robots interact with the world around them.
Take a look at this amazing “Grabber” robot! 🤖👏
