Lots of Lettuce!

The Year 6’s have been continuing to prepare and share a variety of delicious food in the kitchen this term. We have been harvesting broad beans, spring onions, carrots, tulbaghia, silverbeet and lots of lettuce from the garden.

 

On the menu was oven baked spring rolls , Bun Chay (Vietnamese noodle salad) and fried rice lettuce cups. These dishes have been great for refining our knife skills and practising julienne cuts and a fine dice as well as tasting lots of fresh herbs such a Thai basil, Vietnamese mint and Tulbaghia.
