Spotlight on Science

A big thank to the hundreds of students and parents who came through the Science Room during the Arts Festival. It was great to see such huge support to the Sciences as families investigated all areas of Science.

This week in the Science Room…

PREP

The Preps have been exploring different materials used to build a house. They used natural materials to build their own little house using clay, sticks and bark. The results are amazing!

GRADE 1

The Grade 1’s have been exploring the physical changes that occur when making and floating ice boats. The boats melted faster when it was a warm sunny day.

GRADE 2

The Grade 2’s have been following instructions to create their very own bath bombs. They explored the chemical reactions that occur when we mix acidic and alkaline materials.  They looked amazing, I can't wait to hear how they enjoyed them in the bath at home!
