Library News 2.0

Book Week

Book Week was celebrated at schools across the country from August 20 to 26.  The theme for this year was Dreaming with Eyes Open.

Many of the books shortlisted by the Children's Book Council of Australia for 2022 are currently available in the library and all the titles will eventually be added to our collection.

The two winners, Tiger Daughter by Rebecca Lim (Book of the Year, older readers) and A Glasshouse of Stars by Shirley Marr (Book of the Year, younger readers) can found in the library right now.

Some of the honourable mentions, Girls in Boys' Cars by Felicity Castagna, How to Repaint a Life by Steven Herrick, Dragon Skin by Karen Foxlee and Rabbit, Soldier, Angel, Thief by Katrina Nannestad are also ready for borrowing.

Activities were held in the school library on Wednesday and books (and lollies!) were given as prizes to the lucky winners.

Some of the book characters spotted across the campus include, the Rainbow Fish, Thelma the Unicorn, Wally, Nancy Drew and Fern Arable from Charlotte's Web.
