Term 1 Dates to Remember

  • 19th Feb - School Swimming Carnival (50m swimmers only)
  • 26th Feb - Diocesan Swimming Carnival (Tamworth)
  • 12th Mar - Diocesan Winter Trials  Soccer, Hockey, Netball & Rugby League (Inverell)
  • 19th Mar - School Cross Country
  • 26th Mar - Diocesan Touch Trials (Tamworth)

At this point all diocesan events are being held without spectators but we will update you if this changes.

School and diocesan sporting events must all follow COVID Safety Plans and as part of these plans I would like to remind everyone that if you or your child are showing any symptoms to please not attend school or diocesan events.

St Mary's Swimming Carnival

On Friday the 19th February we will be holding a swimming carnival for those students able to swim 50m or more. This decision was made to ensure the parents of our competitive swimmers would be able to spectate and to stay inline with our COVID guidelines. We look forward to continued reduction in restrictions around our school and diocesan sporting events and hope to be holding whole school events in the not too distant future.

Our school carnival needed to be pushed back to allow more time for planning to meet COVID restrictions and so as not to clash with our first day for Kindergarten. As such, those students who meet the qualifying times for the Diocesan Swimming Carnival will receive their permission notes on the day of the carnival and will need to return them the following Monday. The quick turnaround between the school and diocesan carnival was unavoidable.

Good Luck Mackenzi Naden!

Next Friday Mackenzi will head down to Newcastle as part of the Diocesan Tennis Team to compete at the Polding Tennis Trials. Mackenzi was selected for the diocesan team last year and is our first representative sportsperson for 2021.

Good luck Mackenzi we look forward to hearing how you go.
