REFLECTION

It is with sadness we share that over the school holidays our school and parish have been touched by loss.

Our principal, Mrs Alanna McRae, lost her mother Kathleen Clare McMahon on Christmas Eve.

Bishop Michael lost his mother, Mrs Fidelma Kennedy.

Our Parish lost the Most Reverend Bishop Luc Matthys, with his Vigil  and Funeral to be held this week.

We are blessed through our faith to know that through death we are risen with Christ.  Jesus has transformed death into new life.  Through Baptism we have already sacramentally died with Christ, so at our death we are now entering our new life.

Let us hold these members or our school, parish and church family in our prayers.

If you wish to attend Rev Bishop Luc Matthys  Vigil Prayers & Liturgical Reception of the Body and/or Solemn Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal please register using the links on the Parish Site.

PRAYER

Dear Lord,

We commend you, our dear family and friends to almighty God, and entrust you to your Creator.

May you rest in the arms of the Lord who formed you from the dust of the earth.

May holy Mary, the angels and all the saints welcome you now that you have gone forth from this life.

May Christ who was crucified for you, bring you freedom and peace.

May Christ who died for you admit you into his garden of paradise.

May Christ, the true Shepherd, embrace you as one of his flock.

May he forgive all your sins, and set you among those he has chosen.

May you see your Redeemer face to face, and enjoy the vision of God, forever.

Amen
