Classroom News - Year 1

Welcome to Year 1 2021!

It has been lovely to see all our students enthusiastically return to school ready for learning. A huge thank you to parents for all of the preparations made so that your child could come to school with the equipment needed for Year 1.

In the classroom, we have been working together to come up with our daily processes so that each child is aware of what is happening next and what is expected of them. We have been working on wellbeing and mindfulness with simple breathing activities, stories and revisiting our Zones of Regulation. The Zones allow students to identify their feelings and helps with regulating their emotions.

Our first PE session

Next week we start our Initialit program in English. In Maths we are working with numbers to 100, in Religion we are learning about Baptism and in History, we will explore past, present, and future.
