From the Principal

Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, Staff and Friends of St Norbert College,
Our engagement as members of the St Norbert College community begins with that very first interaction. It is often spoken and reflected that the sense of community is what strikes first into our hearts and later on reflection, into our minds.
As we grow together and our association gains a deeper resonance, or as we sing in the first line of our College hymn “Lord, as we grow towards maturity”, we hope that the spirit of St Norbert deepens and burns brighter.
It is no surprise then that the level of excitement and enthusiasm in preparation for the Feast of St Norbert, our College patron is palpable. It is for many, the most special and much anticipated day of the College calendar.
This year, we add in the significance of the 900th anniversary of the founding of the Order of Canons Regular of Prémontré, or as we lovingly come to know them, our Norbertines. It is just a feeling of absolute awe that we are joined together by something and someone that started 900 years ago.
To Father Peter, Father Stephen, Brothers Kenneth, John and Stephen, our prayers, thoughts and best wishes will be with you all on Sunday, 6 June, the actual Feast Day. In honour of you, our families, staff and students, we will celebrate our College patron on Friday 4th June, in a way that remains true to our College values of Heritage, Community, Friendship, Commitment, Respect – and with the ever present pandemic – Adaptability. I personally, look forward each year, to celebrating that which binds us in communion.
And so I extend, to all of our community members, a blessed Feast of St Norbert.
“Lord,
Although we are many, we make up the one body of Christ.
Through the intercession of St Norbert, may we become one in heart and mind.
Amen”
St Norbert – pray for us.
God Bless.
Mr S Harvey (Principal)
