WorkPrep

National Careers Week

Eyes on the future

Masks of a different kind were worn at St Norbert College last week – to transport students into the world of work.

The virtual reality devices allowed students to be transported into workplaces such as a bioprocessing lab, mechatronics workshop, hydrotherapy pool and agricultural farm to broaden their understanding of work environments.

Real professionals were shown discussing duties, tasks and projects they have worked on and showing students around their workplace so they can imagine themselves being part of that work role.

It was all part of St Norbert College's partnership with Work Window to mark National Careers Week.
