Br Patrick Doolan Memorial Game

A large crowd braved the threat of some rather unpleasant weather to attend the SNESA Football Club’s Br Patrick Doolan Memorial Game played at Soklich & Co Oval last Saturday afternoon against the High Wycombe Football Club.

 

SNESA was victorious in the C2 Reserves but went down in the C2 League and E4 Thirds games.

 

The day’s results were:

  • C2 League      High Wycombe 16.10 (106) d SNESA 8.11 (59)
  • C2 Reserves   SNESA 10.4 (64) d High Wycombe 4.9 (33)
  • E4 Thirds        High Wycombe 14.12 (96) d SNESA 6.0 (36)

The day celebrates the life of Br Pat and his contribution to St Norbert College and the SNESA Football Club over many years. Medals are presented to the best SNESA players on the day. Saturday’s Br Pat Medal recipients were:

  • C2 Reserves   Hayden Burgoyne 
  • E4 Thirds       Jack Howe

The SNESA Football Club and President Mr Rafic Aoun are to be congratulated on maintaining this tangible link with St Norbert College and keeping alive the memory of Br Patrick Doolan, who would have loved to have been down at the ground on Saturday cheering on the mighty Saints.
