Year 9 Art Excursion:

To finish off the semester, Year 9 2D Art students undertook an excursion to ACMI to see ‘Light: Works from Tate’s collection’. From the UK,  The exhibition “celebrates groundbreaking moments from over 200 years of art history, and the artists who harnessed this elemental force through painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, installation and the moving image.” It was a great opportunity for students to experience such historically significant, diverse, and inspiring artworks here in Melbourne.

Students also visited the NGV to browse their collection, as well as a visit to Top Arts to see outstanding VCE work from 2021.

In the classroom this semester, the Year 9 2D Art students have been working extremely hard to create some amazing Linoprints and Vincent van Gogh inspired paintings.
