Chang Reflection

The Chang year 11 2020 retreat was an experience for all that will be remembered as one of the many highlights of the two years that we will spend at the College. The year elevens this year took our retreat to the Melbourne CBD where we stayed together inside of the Village Hostel, while it wasn’t the five star penthouse we had all hoped for it certainly pulled through for the one night stay we had. Within the hostel we all shared one large common area where we completed various activities that in the end brought us closer together and formed friendships that will last over the two years we will spend at the college.
The retreat brought us all to reflect on the Chang values of compassion, dignity and endeavor through the mass we shared together and the code of arms we made in the image of Chang. We spent the evening reflecting on our faith and getting to know the students and teachers in our homegroups better.
Alongside the many activities we took part in during the retreat, many would agree as the most memorable being the Queen Victoria market scavenger hunt where many laughs were had and where we were all challenged to learn about the history of the market and along the way incorporate the values and aspects of the Change cluster. Overall, many would come to agree that the retreat brought laughs, good times and memories to last forever.
