It's been a stressful time all around the world as we deal with coronavirus (COVID-19) and the uncertainty it brings. What life will look like over the next few months has changed and you might be feeling anxious about what this means.

If you’d like to talk through your thoughts or worries, we recommend contacting the following services:

  • Suicide Call Back Service: 24/7 hour service, 1300 659 467 (suicidecallbackservice.org.au)
  • External psychologists may also offer remote counselling. Speak to your GP or contact a local clinic for further information.
  • If it is an emergency or if you feel unsafe, call 000 for assistance.

We’ve also put together some resources to help you manage your wellbeing through all this. We will post helpful tips and strategies on SEQTA and resources are available through the Pastoral Care Program.

We have attached some information from the Australian Psychological Society that outlines some useful strategies which can help both adults and young people cope with the stress or anxiety experienced as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
