Sandringham had a successful start to its sporting year in 2021!

Intraschool Sport

Intraschool sports at Sandringham College have been broadened for Year 7 & 8 weekly sport to include a range of new activities with the aim of increasing participation and engagement after our extended lockdown in 2020. These new activities include:

  • Dance with Ms Slingsby
  • Chess Coaching with Dark Horse Chess
  • Strength & Conditioning at Arena Fitness
  • Yoga with Catherine Fisher, Yoga Arts Academy
  • Rock & Water Wellness Program run by Mr Pickering and Mr Paterson

All programs have been embraced by the students but chess has really taken off with the coach now looking for local competitions to extend the strategic development of Sandringham’s chess sportspeople.
