LIBRARY SPACES

Winter officially started on June the 1st, students are welcome at recess and lunch time to enjoy the warmth and space of the library. Students can study, socialise, read books, or play games. A gentle reminder, before entering the library, food and drinks must be consumed outside. Let’s keep our space tidy and accessible for everyone.  See you in there!

UNO AT THE LIBRARY

With the resurgence of card games, we would like to spotlight the competitive card game, UNO. The rules are simple and easy to follow, with the number of players ranging from two or more (you can even add a second deck of cards to the game). UNO specifies, you cannot add a Draw 2 over a Draw 2, or a Draw 4 over a Draw 4!

We still have some time to go in the challenge and are looking for more students to join and prizes to share to those who complete the challenge.

Students can add any books, e-books, and audio books into their personal reading list from March this year, and anything you have read in class!

  • 10 books in the Heathmont Reading Challenge
  • 15 books in the Premiers' Reading Challenge
  • Pick up a book and register at the library today.

MAKERSPACE

Our Makerspace has been successfully running over the term with keen knitters making beanies for the wintry weather. We are look forward to seeing the results from our crafty students! Next term we will be looking at yarning, so keep your eyes out and watch this space.
