Legends Mini Music Tour
On Monday May 9 the Legends Band set off on their four day Mini Music Tour of Central Victoria. The first stop was Laser Tag and Mini Golf in Bendigo. After that we settled into the accommodation before heading to the Bendigo Senior Secondary College for a combined rehearsal and Concert with the Bendigo Band. This is the second performance we have done with the Bendigo group and hopefully it can
become a regular event.
The next day we explored the streets of Bendigo before heading up to Echuca where we went on a paddle steamer, had a tour of the Port of Echuca and went on a Ghost Tour one evening. Apparently, I didn’t tell them it was a Ghost Tour… Did I not tell them? Or did they not listen when I spoke about tour?
We performed at Echuca Primary School four times! Yes, COVID is still an issue, so in order for the 600 students at the primary school to all watch us perform they had to split the school into four sections. The Legends played very well and the primary school kids loved our
performances.
We had great weather until the final day, when we came home via Shepparton, we had a quick stop to check out the Cow Display and went to some local shops before heading back to school.

Semester 1 Music Concert
On May 31 we held our Semester 1 Music Concert, and what a great night it was. It was such a cold and rainy evening yet many parents, relatives, teachers and friends braved the cold to watch our first live performance since
October 2019.
Approximately 2/3 of the musicians who performed had never played in front of a live audience due to COVID. Everyone played amazingly, from the Rookies right through to the Legends. I can’t say that there were any particular highlights as all of the students performed so well!
I am so proud of everyone who was involved as everyone, staff and students, put in so much work to prepare and
put on a great show.
Our next Concert will be held on Tuesday
September 13, 7 pm.
