Fun with German – Primary School Visit

Friday 31st March saw the return of Heathmont College’s Fun with German Day. After three years of restrictions, we again hosted 170 students and their accompanying staff from The Basin Primary School and Boronia Heights Primary School for an exciting day of German cultural and language activities.

Students demonstrated their sporting prowess in European Handball and tested their language skills and knowledge playing Jeopardy! They also paired up to practise their investigative skills at the Millionärskoffer activity and tried their hand at imitating the artwork of German artist, Franz Marc.

A very big “Vielen Dank!” goes to the Year 9 German students, who assisted in running the day’s activities and also, to Frau Merlino and Frau Ho, whose hard work was essential to the success of the day.
