Science News

Term 1 has been a busy, busy, busy term for the Science department at Heathmont College. We have welcomed new staff – David Young, Rob Baboselac, Jean-Michel Seago to the faculty and they are enjoying teaching at Heathmont College.  Year 7s have been getting to know the laboratory and all the safety procedures involved with Science. The year 8s exploring electricity including static electricity with balloons. The year 9s are looking at light and consumer science. Some lucky year 9s have dissected a cow’s eye in class. The year 10s have been busy looking at genetics and chemistry. Science Investigation in year 10 have been doing excursions to the creek to collect water samples to test the water quality. We are looking forward to the Easter Bunny arriving during the school break.
