How long have you worked at Heathmont College? This year is my fifth year working at Heathmont!

What is your role at the school?  I am a social worker. I work with the Wellbeing team, and I am also the Diversity and Inclusion Support coordinator, working with our Classroom Support team to support students with different learning needs. I also coordinate the Performing Arts with Ms. Growse!

What is the most rewarding part of your job?  The most rewarding part of my job is seeing students be brave, and I get to see it every day! I love seeing students proudly find their voice and develop their identity, step of their comfort zones, give things a go, and build their confidence and resilience. It’s so cool.

What’s your favourite holiday destination?

My favourite places that I’ve been lucky enough to visit are New York and Japan. I’d wanted to see both these places since I was little. It was a dream to visit, and I’d love to go back! The next destination on my bucket list is Mexico.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Anything Mexican… or sushi!

When you were little what did you aspire to be?

I aspired to be Evelyn O’Connell (Rachel Weiz) from the 1999 film The Mummy.

What is your ideal way to spend your free time? I love performing in and seeing live theatre! Outside of school, I am an actor, singer and improvisor. Right now, I am performing with Impromptunes: The Completely Improvised Musical for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. We get a title from the audience of a musical that has never existed, and then make it up on the spot for 50 mins with an incredible improvised band. It’s so much fun and terrifying all at once!
