Captain's Report

What a term so far!

This week Is harmony week. There have been many activities and chances to discuss what harmony week means to us during mentor group. Friday was the big free dress day where students had a chance to wear something significant to their culture, or an outfit with a pop of orange. Orange being the signature colour of harmony week.

This week is very busy for Year 12s in preparation for another busy week ahead full of SACs, this is giving us a chance to relate and help each other out in ways to study and support one another. Many other events have been happening throughout the school such as Year 8 camp and NAPLAN.

The end of Term 1 has come around so quickly for everyone. From a Year 12 point of view, the morale amongst the cohort is remaining strong which has been amazing considering we are in the midst of a major assessment week. Our leadership team have just been on our furst excursion and although the result of the excursion wasn’t what we intended I feel as though it has been able to improve the bond between each other. We couldn’t be more thankful of the teachers who have continued to support and encouraged us to strive for each and every lesson, for that we thank you all for your dedication. We also have a number of events ahead to look forward to. The school cross country has been planned for early next term as well as the interschool sports which are due to take place in the first few weeks back in Term 2. Plans for new and exciting initiatives have been coming together nicely, which is going to open new and fantastic opportunities for every student at the college. I’ve been speaking to members of the other year levels especially some of the Year 8 students have recently got back from camp at Lake Eildon.
