It is a huge privilege to teach physical education as I have the opportunity to instill in our students the fundamental values and lifelong skills necessary to embrace a healthy, active lifestyle. Physical education also promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and the joy of movement. Using my background in Sports and Exercise Science and Physical Education, I aspire to share and spread this knowledge. 

Jessica Kalkos

My name is Jessica Kalkos and I’m a new teacher at Lalor North Secondary. I am a hardworking, self-motivated, creative and tenacious person who aims to achieve the best in everything I do. I have a passion for photography and learning languages. Since I was young, I have spoken Macedonian fluently and have taken an interest in learning Greek, Italian and Indonesian. Throughout my high school journey, I studied Indonesian and with my efforts, had my name featured in the Herald Sun for my ATAR raw score results. I am a passionate teacher who puts her students’ needs at the foremost of learning. I have always loved learning new things and believe students who learn in a safe and engaging classroom environment have the potential to learn anything they desire.
