Pot Luck Dinner Fundraiser, Year 7 Math Problem Solving

Year 11 & 12 VCAL

Year 11 and 12 VCAL students from our Wanganui and McGuire Campuses attended a presentation from Worksafe titled “ A day in the life of an inspector”.  Students learnt about being proactive in workplace safety, not reactive, and to not take risks in their own employment journey. Many thanks to Brad and Emily from Worksafe for giving up your time at both campuses.

Pot Luck Dinner Fundraiser

Two GSSC students volunteered for the Shepparton Brewery Pot Luck Dinner on Tuesday 23rd March. Year 11 student Shantae Barry is completing a Cert II in Kitchen Operations at Gotafe.

This real work experience will assist her in putting into place the skills she is learning with in her course on a weekly basis. Year 12 student Jay Bryce was just happy to put his hand up to volunteer for our local community, this experience has given Jay the skills to communicate and work as part of a busy restaurant team.

All funds from the Pot Luck dinner will go towards the newly established Brewery Community Chest and be shared amongst local charities. Many thanks to Diana, Matt and there Brewery team for giving our students these opportunities. Keep your eye on The Brewery Web page for future Community Chest dinners https://www.sheppartonbrewery.com.au/
