Year 9 Outdoor Ed

Anglesea

This term, Year 9 Outdoor Ed students have been learning about the coastal environment and how to be safe while in the outdoors.

In order to put their learning into practice, students were invited to attend a 2-night camp down in Anglesea, along Victoria's surf coast. All students were put to the test in the surfing session; however, some found their feet rather quickly, showing off their natural abilities with some tricks learned from their surfing instructors.

Students also learned first-hand about some of the natural coastal features and wildlife in the area, with day and night walks occurring. This helped them gain a more comprehensive understanding of Victoria's surf environment as a whole.

Thanks go to all staff who volunteered their time and made this experience possible for our students.
