Anglesea Coastal Camp

Students from both the McGuire and Wanganui campus studying Unit 3, Outdoor and Environmental Studies, attended the Coastal camp in Anglesea on the 9th to the 11th of March. Students participated in a surfing lesson at Anglesea main beach, along with a mountain bike ride through the Anglesea Bushland Reserve and a stand up paddle board on the Anglesea River. Followed up by a walk along the Indigenous Cultural walk at Point Addis. Students investigated different relationships the local Wathaurong Indigenous community had with the environment. This developed the knowledge for students to undertake their first SAC based on the practical experience.
