The end of term is rapidly approaching. The last day of formal classes for students this term is Wednesday 31st March.

Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences

Parent / Teacher / Student conferences are taking place next week and one of the few positives from the Covid -19 outbreak last year was the capacity to attend P/T/S conferences on-line. As a result of the feedback regarding on-line conferences last year, this year we are offering both on-line and face to face conferences.

Details have been published on several platforms including this newsletter, Compass and the GSSC Webpage. Bookings can be made on the Compass portal.. I encourage parents/guardians to take advantage of the opportunity to discuss the progress of your children with your child and their teachers.

Harmony Day

Late last week we celebrated Harmony Day with ceremonies at the Wanganui and Mooroopna campuses and on Monday this week we celebrated at the McGuire campus. The students involved in the ceremonies dressed in costumes and danced and sang and we also experienced the Haka at the Wanganui campus.

The three performances were a wonderful example of the cultures that make up GSSC. The engagement of the performers and spectators was fantastic and I look forward to next year when we are all on the one site to see the performances get better and better. Thank you to the teachers, parents and community members who worked so hard to ensure the success of the performances.

Term 2 Uniform

Term two will bring the cooler weather with it (although we did get a taste of what’s to come earlier this week). Please make sure that winter uniform is ready for the start of term if you haven’t already done so. All of the winter uniform is available at the three shops in Shepparton.

I would like to thank all of the staff and those who volunteered at GSSC this term and hope that the upcoming holidays gives you the chance to recharge your batteries in preparation for Term 2
