Music Week:

We had planned an exciting week of performances and activities for Music Week in Week 3, which have now been substantially pared back due to COVID restrictions. However, some of our performances will still go ahead, though parents will not be invited to attend, audience numbers will be restricted, and only staff and students will be able to attend. A timetable of events is as follows:

We are sorry we cannot invite parents and families to attend these concerts, but we will record and share the performances with families of the performers wherever possible.

Apart from performances, we will also be running a number of open classroom educational experiences within the school. Selected Year 4 - 6 students will perform instrumental solos for Year K - 2. We will invite Year 2 to visit the Year 3/4 String Group and Year 4 to visit the Year 5/6 Band rehearsal. We will launch our K - 2 Classroom Music Program, Year 4 will present a drumming performance for selected staff and Year 6 class keyboard students will record their first ever songs for their families at home.

Private lessons:

We’ve had an overwhelming surge in enrolments for private music lessons. If your child wishes to start music lessons this term, enrolments must be received by the end of Week 3. Any enrolments received after Week 3 will commence lessons in Term 4.
