Stage 1 report

Growing Into Inquirers!

This week Stage 1 began their unit of inquiry into Where We Are In Place And Time. We spent Monday morning exploring a range of pictures and artefacts exhibited in the Stage 1 Gallery, which has been divided between the two classrooms. Using their See,Think, Wonder thinking strategy, the students thoughtfully wrote down observations, thoughts and wonderings during their gallery walk. The students’ responses to the exhibited items will inform the pathways that will be taken on our exploration of why some things change over time and others remain the same.

The highlight of our unit will be a virtual trip to the Tokyo Olympics during which students will investigate changes that have occurred over time to the Olympic Games, Japan, and sports technology. We are all looking forward to seeing where our inquiry journey will take us!
