HEAD OF SECONDARY SCHOOL

Welcome back to Term 3, 2021. It is unfortunate that we are again under the cloud of COVID restrictions here at the College. I would like to acknowledge and thank all of our staff and students for their adherence to the mask wearing policy that we have instituted. We understand that they can be uncomfortable at times but it is great that our students are wearing them.

Term 3 is yet another busy term in the school year. In particular, for our senior students we have Trial HSC Examinations, Trial International Baccalaureate Examinations, and yearly examinations for our Year 11 students. I hope that our seniors have taken the time to study over the break and I encourage them to speak with their teachers regarding exam tips and any other information that will help them to achieve their best.

This term during House wellbeing time, our students will be focussing on building resilience and respectful relationships. These are two fundamental skills that we want to see our students graduate with in order to be active and engaged members of the broader community. From challenging a fixed mindset and learning from failure to developing empathy and enhancing personal skills, our students will be challenged to grow and develop in their character. I would encourage you to ask your children about these sessions and to continue these conversations at home to help embed what our students have learnt.
