ACMI Excursion

Experimenting with filming and editing techniques

Last Tuesday our year 10 film and tv class went to ACMI! It was a very productive and fun day in the city. 

We started off with the staff there introducing us to some more film techniques that we were and were not already familiar with, then we moved on to the task of the day. 

What this task was, you may wonder, was filming a scene from a given script!

So, once we found out that we would be doing an exert from an egg and spoon race, we got to planning and filming!! The filming procedure was not quite the highlight of the trip, but definitely up there. 

After filming we had a short break for lunch, then got to this highly anticipated highlight, editing. Not only did we get headphones, but we also got macs. The amazing, expensive computers. Then after not nearly enough time to edit, we poured our hearts and souls out to show the class. It was very funny and exposed many people's skills for editing under pressure.
