Staffing News

At the end of Term Three, we farewell Year 6 Navy teacher Natalie Reid on her parental leave and wish her and her partner Hamish all the best for this exciting phase.  Kate Murphy and Branna Magill will take over the care of Year 6 in the interim.

In Term Four, we will welcome Jasmin Reynolds back to her position of responsibility as the Early Years Co-Ordinator. It will be wonderful to see Jasmin around, albeit for a shortened week.

This year the College has seen considerable staffing changes. The media has already acknowledged that staffing schools will be more difficult heading into the future, and for Mount Carmel, this is already upon us.  A number of staff have already made clear their intention to retire at the end of 2022, including Helen Richards, Linton Higginbotham and Linda Howe. Their service to our community has been treasured and we wish them a wonderful retirement filled with many opportunities to relax, renew and to reconnect with their younger selves.

As staffing firms up for 2023, the community will continue to be updated through The View newsletter on appointments. Advertising for open positions will commence shortly.

Head of House Staff for 2023 - 2025

The College is pleased to announce that the Head of House roles for the next three years (2023 - 2025) are as follows:

Lynda Hewitt – Carmel

Avril Alderdice - Loreto

Phoebe Nutting – Lourdes (Lynda Hudson will cover in 2023 for Phoebe Nutting's parental leave)

We welcome Avril Alderdice to the role of Head of House for Loreto and thank Lynda Hudson for her care of students and staff in Loreto House, and her willingness to support Lourdes next year in a caretaker role whilst Phoebe Nutting is on parental leave.
