New Products
We are now offering Sausage Rolls $4.00 and Meat and Potato Pies $5.00 every day at both recess and lunch.
We can now offer Honey Mustard dressing for all salads.
Meet the Staff
We asked our Fresh Food Fast canteen staff to write a bit about themselves, meet Lori Cornell and Nicola Kent.
I have worked for Fresh Food Fast for the past 8 months at the Henry Kendall High School canteen.
Prior to that, I have worked mostly in the nursing and sales sector but found my passion in food.
I am married with 1 daughter and two stepsons, Isabelle attends Woodport Public School, and this is where I first met Jackie.
I have lived on the Central coast all my life but did move to Gladstone QLD for a year while working in the mining sector.
Seafood is my favourite food to eat and my favourite Fresh Food Fast item is the Asian Chicken Noodle Soup that we serve at both canteens – give it a go!
I have been working for Fresh Food Fast for 8 months at Henry Kendall High School canteen. Initially I worked for Jackie waitressing at her catering events, and I continue to do so and really enjoy it. Before this I was an aged care nurse for almost 10 years, working in high care and mainly dementia units. I also worked as a physiotherapist aide for 5 of those years.
We moved to Australia 12 years ago this October from the UK. It was a massive move and I left behind my four sisters, mum, dad and my husband’s family; however, we are lucky to have my husband’s brother on the northern beaches and his family, plus lots of friends here on the coast who have become like family to us. My children were only 10,12 and 2 1/2 when we moved here and have thrived living in such a beautiful country with fabulous opportunities.... so proud to call Oz our home.
My catering background comes from working in a garden centre restaurant back in my late 20’s some 14 years ago in the UK, and I would have to say that my favourite food is Caesar salad. My favourite Fresh Food Fast item would have to be the Lemongrass and Lime Prawn skewers Jackie serves regularly for canape events and even though I don’t normally eat seafood, those are amaze balls!!!!!
Lastly, I LOVE MY JOB, it’s a fast-paced quick-thinking environment and I love it. I never wake up thinking I hate going to work, Lori and I make a good team, we know what each other is thinking and work well together. I love serving the kids and teachers and making a connection with some of them, and ultimately providing them with the best possible service I can.
Evening Meal Service
The canteen offers home cooked evening meals to take home for our busy families, collection is from the Canteen. You can choose from a selection of family size tray bakes and quiches and all Henry Kendall families will receive a discount on their order with tray bakes at $37 and quiches at $15.

Volunteers
We have a Facebook group page solely for canteen volunteers “Henry Kendall High School Canteen Volunteers”. If you are able to volunteer bi weekly, monthly or even simply on school events, please contact Jackie on 0488 123 931 or request to join the group. Even 15 minutes makes a huge difference to the day.
NEW – Each month everyone who volunteers at the canteen will get a free lunch order for their child and will go into a draw to win an evening meal for 4 people each month!!!
