Year 9

Year 9 students have had another full term of activities. Year 9 continue to be engaging in their classwork and are trying to achieve their best. It was great the read all the positive comments their teachers have wrote about them in their reports. Year 9 are encouraged to keep up the good work and keep striving to achieve their best next semester. Year 9 students are also reminded that there are many opportunities available for students if they need some extra help.

During this term Year 9 students had NAPLAN. Overall they tried their best, which was good to see. They have also had the opportunity to be involved with the YAM program. The students gained a lot of real life knowledge and have shown their appreciation to the YAM team for coming to the school to run the course.

It was great to see Year 9 get involved in the sporting opportunities at both the Sports Carnival and Cross Country.  It was also great to our musicians get involved with both 'On Track' and 'Henry Kendall's Got Talent' and continue to grow and improve their stage performance.

Year 9 students uniform has slowly not been following the uniform policy. A general reminder that students are expect to wear correct uniform.

Just a reminder to parents that Parent/Teacher Interviews are Wednesday 31 July (Week 2 Term 3). Our booking system is again on Sentral. If you need your login or are having trouble logging in please call so we can help you.

It's crazy how fast the time has gone. Only one more term left of Year 11 before we move on to our HSC study patterns. Year 11 continue to impress their teachers with dedication to their studies and their eagerness to succeed in assessment work and such.

I said my goodbyes in my week 3 report, again its been wonderful getting to know the students and seeing them grow into the amazing young adults they are.

Miss Sasha Fitzgerald will be taking over the year group until they complete their schooling in 2020 and I know that she already has a wonderful relationship with lots of Year 11 students and that she will do a phenomenal job.

I hope you all have a safe and happy Term 2 break and all the best for 2019.
