From The Principal -

Mr Simon Cobiac

Dear Families and Community of Blackfriars Priory School,

Blessings for Christmas 2017

May we remember the coming of the Christ Child this Christmas.

In our School and in our lives, we are challenged to bring about the kingdom He proclaimed.

May you and your families be richly blessed at this holy time.

May the holidays provide a time for rest, recovery, fun, joy and reflection.

Words adapted from a Christmas Message received from Marg O’Shea | Promoter of Charism in Dominican Schools

Over the past few weeks I have had the privilege and honour of attending the many end of year events that give witness to the achievements and success of our students for their academic and self-development progress. It has been an important time for the school community to review the year, to highlight the accomplishments of some, but to also acknowledge the power of a community that works together to magnify the Blackfriars Priory School mandate to deliver an education of excellence that is underpinned by the Four Pillars of Dominican Life, in the tradition of St Dominic and our Patron, St Albert the Great.

I take this opportunity to thank you all for warmly welcoming me into the Blackfriars Priory School Community. I have enjoyed getting to know many of you and I look forward to the opportunity to further develop these important relationships that mutually benefits the students and school in 2018.

Farewells

It is with some sadness that we say farewell to a number of teaching and education support staff who will not be returning to Blackfriars Priory School next year.

In particular, I take this opportunity to acknowledge and commend those who have dedicated their professional knowledge, skills and personal commitment to the education and development of so many current and past students. On behalf of the School Community, I sincerely thank each for being a part of this wonderful school, for their contributions to the landscape and fabric of the school and its culture and mandate for educational excellence. I thank them for both the small and significant hallmarks and footsteps they have left imprinted on each of the student lives they have had the privilege of teaching and nurturing and wish them the very best as their journey continues past the gates of Blackfriars Priory School.

It is with fond regard that I call the final roll on the following staff who are leaving Blackfriars Priory School:
