MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPS

YEAR 10

9 DAY TOUR TO CENTRAL AUSTRALIA

Camp 1 - Monday 24 Oct - Tuesday 1 Nov

Camp 2 - Wednesday 26 Oct -Thursday 3 Nov

During the 9 Day camp students had an AMAZING time visiting Coober Pedy, Marla, Alice Springs (School of the Air, Royal Flying Doctors Service and Alice Springs Reptile Park), Anzac Hill, Simpsons Gap, Watarrka National Park, Kings Canyon, Ulura, Kata Tjuta and Kantju Gorge.

Thank you to the following staff who attended the camp with the students; Maddy Ignatiadis, Morgan Wyatt, Jye Cuff, Tracey Hope, Zoe Younger, Eleni Stavrou, Brendon, Jesse Morgan, Cath Edwards, Kelsey Currie, Charlie Fyffe and Emma Connolly.

Also a very BIG THANK YOU to Zoe Younger (Year 10 Coordinator) and Michael Bourne (Head of Year 10), for orgainsing the Central Australia camp.

The students shared in reading ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go - by Dr Seuss whilst visiting Alice Springs, Kings Canyon, Kata Tjuta and Uluṟu.

And did they succeed? Yes, they did indeed, 98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed!

YEAR 9

5 DAY TASMANIA CAMP

14 November to 18 November

During the 5-day tour of Tasmania, students had a wonderful time visiting Hobart - New Norfolk, Derwent Valley, Mt Field National Park (Russell Falls), Battery Point, Salamanca Market and Constitution Dock, Tahune Airwalk, Mt Wellington, Tasmania Devil Unzoo, Port Arthur Historic Site, Isle of the Dead, Cataract Gorge, Devils Kitchen, Tasman's Arch, Tessellated Pavement and Blow Hole.

We were very pleased to receive a brief email from one of the employees from the Spirit of Tasmania;

'The best-behaved bunch of polite students I’ve ever met. I work on deck 10, they are a wonderful bunch of young people’.
