Parents & Friends News
More thanks to be spread to our wonderful HT community this month.
Honey Drive
After the well supported Trivia night we jumped straight into our Honey Drive. Our Honey reps once again sourced some sweet nectar from Peninsula Honey. We received close to 100 orders amounting to nearly 300 containers of Honey sold. Thanks to all that ordered and to the P&F and HT staff that helped distribute this last week.
We brought the hive mind together and everything worked out great. Keep an eye out in future bulletins where we will keep you all up to date on what this fundraiser has provided for the community.
P&F Membership
There have been lots of changes this year with new people joining the P&F and also those that have had to move on. People rotate through these committees as their kids enter schools and leave schools and also progressing through different adventures in our lives that allow us time or limit our time to be on these committees. We would like to thank everyone whether on the Committee or parent helpers or class reps for all the time you give our community.
We would also like to send out a special thanks to a few that have given many years of service but don’t always get the thanks they really deserve and for a number of reasons have moved on from the Committee this year: Kathy and Phil Bradwell, Lana, Poppy, Mayada, Kathy W, Jenny Z.
These people have put in a lot of work over the years and we miss them all and wish them all good health and success in their current and future adventures through life.
If anyone is interested in joining us, every helping hand is always welcome and you can contact us on parentandfriends3@outlook.com or huntingtowerpfpresident@gmail.com
Mt Waverley Op Shop
The P&F volunteers have been busy again this week following the Honey Drive up with running the Mt Waverley Op Shop in lieu of the Simunye program that has been on hiatus during COVID. Thanks to all who volunteered for a shift.
Monash Youth Music Festival
MYMF is being hosted at Huntingtower again this year on 23 July. The P&F will be running a coffee and food stall again and if you have any time that day to help, reach out, many hands make light work.
Future Fundraisers
We have a few things planned for the 2nd half of the year so keep an eye out for announcements.
Have a safe and fun Winter Holiday.
