News from the Junior School

Foundation Costume Day

It was a magical morning on Wednesday as the Foundation students got the chance to dress up as their favorite book characters. Lots of smiles to see and there were lots princess outfits, pirates, elves, farmers, animals and even the Year 6s dressed in capes. The highlight was the Year 6s playing with bubbles with their Foundation kids on the oval!

Grade 5 Art

Responding to this year’s school theme ‘Forward to the Light’ Grade 5 students created these wonderful lighthouse artworks. Using a technique called collagraph printmaking, students cut and pasted layers of foam onto cardboard to create a ‘plate’. The plates were later covered with ink and a print was created after going through the etching press.

Well done Grade 5s – they are superb!
