Francis' (Foz) debut on Friday night was sensational, with his game statistics reflecting 7 kicks, 4 marks and 1 tackle.  In a dream debut, Francis kicked the first goal of the match!

Nicknamed Frank the Tank,  his debut was witnessed live by a number of family, friends, ex-BSC classmates and  Brunswick FC teammates (Frank's old team) - not to mention many more staff, students and other fans watching from the comfort of their lounge chairs - cheering him all the way!

In a memorable moment on ground,  fellow Cats players celebrated Foz' first AFL goal around him, while Chris Scott (Geelong coach) spoke glowingly of Frank's debut in his post-match press conference.

Visit  the Geelong website here to see some fabulous vision of Frank's goal,  see him interviewed and to find out more about his rise to the AFL ranks.

Francis' commitment to his sporting career has seen him have to draw on his personal determination, optimism and persistence.  Having been picked up by the Cats at the end of 2019 (#41 in the draft),  the interrupted 2020 season saw his first AFL career challenge - the Covid pandemic!   The season saw him named as emergency for just three games,  but it seems that 2021 will deliver a vastly different experience for him.

Whatever the season brings,  the BSC community will be there to support and cheer him on; we wish Francis every success as he goes forward with his AFL career.
