DANCE

Sarah Minol - Dance Teacher/VET Assistant Dance Teacher

On Wednesday 7th June the Wyndham College Dance Ensemble performed at the SYNERGY Dance Festival held at Penrith Panthers. Synergy Dance Festival has been running successfully for the past 30 years, providing dance performance opportunities for Kindergarten to Year 12 NSW public school students in a professional theatre environment.

The festival provides an inclusive forum that showcases dance as a performing art within the guidelines of the K-12 Dance syllabus and to appreciate the collaborative effort of school teachers, students and parents in presenting dance performances.

The Wyndham College Dance ensemble performed in a work titled "Anelosimus Eximius" choreographed by Sarah Minol with the assistance of the students in the ensemble.

The work explores a group of social spiders working together as a colony to build a web. It begins with the colony working together in unison, they then break into smaller groups weaving, spindling and threading a web. The work resolves with the web fully constructed.

Congratulations to the following students for representing Wyndham College so wonderfully and professionally in this performance. They are also praised for their dedication, outstanding teamwork and commitment to extra-curricular rehearsals in preparation for this performance :
