Year 11 WSU Access Program 2023

Please congratulate these talented Year 11 students who have been selected to study one subject at Western Sydney University in Term 3 whilst completing their Preliminary Year at Wyndham College.

This is an opportunity that is unique to Nirimba Precinct students and is highly competitive with over 60 applications for the program being received this year. This is the final year this program will run as the University is reallocating resources. 

The rigorous selection process conducted by the school panel recognised the exceptional academic achievements, personal qualities, and potential demonstrated by these students, who have the opportunity to gain a $20 000 scholarship and early entry to WSU for 2025.

Year 12 WSU Graduation 2023

Western Sydney University proudly honoured a group of exceptional Year 12 students who recently graduated from WSU with the support of $20 000 scholarships that will enable them to pursue their educational dreams in the future. The university's commitment to nurturing talent and fostering academic excellence was showcased during a heartfelt graduation ceremony held at the WSU Nirimba College campus in the lecture theatre on Thursday 15th June.

Over the years, Western Sydney University has developed a robust scholarship program, attracting students from diverse backgrounds and providing them with opportunities to excel in their chosen fields. This year's graduates, who benefited from the university's scholarship program, demonstrated outstanding dedication, resilience, and a thirst for knowledge throughout their academic journey, with all of them achieving Distinctions or High Distinctions.

Janet Elms Smith, Nirimba Precinct Development Manager, commended the graduates for their accomplishments and expressed her pride in their achievements. "Their success not only reflects their individual triumphs but also the commitment of the university to create a supportive and inclusive environment." As the graduates embark on the next phase of their lives, armed with the knowledge and skills acquired at Western Sydney University, their success stories serve as a source of inspiration for current and future students. These remarkable individuals remind us all that with determination, support, and the right opportunities, anything is possible.
