The ROCKS of St. Peter’s College

On Tuesday, 2 June 2020, we launched in pastoral periods for all students at both campuses, our new Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support (WSAPBS) framework inspired by our Petrine charism called - ROCKS. From St Peter being called the rock on which Jesus built his Church (Mt 16:18).  The ROCKS in brief stand for:

Respect - how to be respectful.

Organisation - how to be organised.

Collaboration - how to be collaborative.

Kindness - how to be kind.

Safety - how to be safe.

The St. Peter’s College, School Wide Approach to Positive Behaviour reflects our school community's shared expectations in relation to student positive behaviour. The new framework sets out clear processes to be followed in order to support the positive behaviour of our students in the classroom, in the yard, in the community and online.

Our community exemplifies the gospel values of love, forgiveness, justice and truth. We recognise that everyone has the right to be respected, to feel safe and be safe and, in turn, our school community acknowledges each member's own obligation to behave positively.

World Environment Day

On Friday 5th it is World Environment Day. Our Catholic Social Teachings calls us to take responsibility for our use and care of the earth. The decisions we make can make a positive difference as we respond to the call to be better stewards and to reflect on how our lifestyle choices impact God’s creation and the poor in our midst. Are you ready to make a difference?

Let us pray…

Lord God, Creator of the universe

You have given us this world to enjoy and to cherish.

Help us to appreciate its beauty and to take good care of it.

You sustain all of the world with your goodness

And provide us with all we need.

Loving, compassionate God,

You created each of us in your own image.

Send your blessing upon us.

May we walk always in your love.

Amen.

Upcoming Events:

  1. 19 June 2020:  Vinnies Virtual Sleep out.
  2. 22 June 2020:  St. Peter’s Day Mass – live by VIVI to both campuses from our Cranbourne Chapel.
