Staging scenes from a film

Cindy Sherman’s Untitled Film Stills (1977 – 80) acted as a starting point for our year 9 and 10 students in this Digital Photography class. For their first assessment they worked to create their own portraits where they themselves star as the subject. Staged to resemble scenes from a film, students crafted backstories for their characters, while experimenting with lighting and introductory Photoshop techniques.
