International Women's Day 

Celebrating inspiring women

For International Women's Day on Tuesday, FemCo, the library and school captains worked together to put on festivities to celebrate International Women's Day. At lunchtime, there were opportunities to talk to our guest speaker Rumbi Mutezo at the library, alongside fun activities hosted by FemCo. There was colouring with information on famous women, IWD badge making, as well as ways to celebrate women you admire, who 'Break the Bias', this year's IWD theme, by writing their names on the FemCo sculpture. The activities were fun and entertaining and were a great way to engage in FemCo and International Women's Day.

Please bring a gold coin donation to support our Fem Co. club.  All funds raised will be donated to Djirra. Djirra provides culturally safe legal and non-legal support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women across Victoria, who are experiencing family violence and sexual assault.
