Ringwood North District Swimming Carnival

 

Congratulations to Isla, Ava, Ruby, Zoe, Hannah, Persephone, Charlotte, Garv, Calan, Jason and Jaylen who competed in the Ringwood North District Swimming Carnival on Monday the 22nd of February. 

 

The level of competition was high and our Kalinda swimming team swam very well and were all very encouraging of one another throughout the day. I am extremely proud of all their efforts and achievements.

 

A special congratulations to:

  • Isla who finished 1st in 50m Breaststroke
  • Ava who finished 1st in 50m Backstroke
  • Zoe who finished 1st in 50m Breaststroke
  • Zoe, Ruby, Ava and Isla who finished 1st in the 4 X 50m Freestyle Relay

 

We wish these students all the best as they progress through to the next level of competition - the Maroondah/Manningham Division Swimming Carnival. 

 

Thank you to all the parents who transported their child to and from this event, I really appreciate your time and effort. 

 

 

 

Maroondah/Manningham Division Swimming Carnival 

 

Congratulations to Ava, Isla, Zoe and Ruby who competed at the Maroondah/Manningham Division Swimming Carnival. 

 

The girls were invited to this level of competition because of their outstanding performance at the previous level of competition. 

 

They all swam extremely well at the first level of competition and even better at this second level of competition.

 

The results from the day were as follows; 

  • The relay team (Ava, Isla, Zoe and Ruby) finished 1st in the 4 X 50m Freestyle Relay
  • Isla finished 3rd in 50m Breaststroke
  • Ava finished 2nd in 50m Backstroke
  • Zoe finished 1st in 50m Breaststroke

 

The girls now progress through to the third level of competition which is the Eastern Metropolitan Swimming Carnival. 

 

We wish the girls all the best, and look forward to hearing how they go.
