Academic Committee

Hi! It's Tara, your Academic School Captain, here to give you an update on what’s been happening in the Academic Committee this month.

Year Seven Captain’s Experience Joining the Academic Committee

At the end of last term, the student leadership team were involved in the organisation and selection of  the Year 7 Class Captains. These captains delegated a student leadership committee they would most like to be a part of, and joined that group at the start of this term. Here is what two of our year seven Class Captains Claire Hitchen 7G and Vincent Wang 7F have to say about joining the Academic Committee:

“This year we have had the pleasure of joining the Academic Committee. Tara and the whole team welcomed us with friendly smiles and lots of ideas. Having had our first few meetings online, here’s what we have done so far and our thoughts about the Academic Committee. At our first meeting we focused on effective study, peer support, ‘our rubbish our responsibility’ and brainstorming ideas. Our second and third meetings were revisiting those ideas and any solutions we had about them. The team is so accepting and supportive of new ideas to keep our school the best it possibly can be. We have really enjoyed all of the meetings, people and ideas in the Academic Committee and we can’t wait to be able to see each other in person.”

Effective Study Video from your Year 12’s

During term one the Academic Committee worked with the year twelves to collate some study tips for students across year 7-10. We have since edited these tips into a video to share with the school. Enjoy!
