Principal's Report

Living in a Virtual world

While we remain in a remote learning environment, Thornbury High has been trying wherever possible to replicate some of the most important (and sometimes fun) parts about normal  life at school. Over the last month we have conducted a range of virtual events, including:

  • Year 12 parent-teacher interviews
  • Subject selection
  • Course counselling
  • Year level mid-year awards ceremonies
  • Debating
  • Chrissy’s cook-alongs
  • Working Parts Gallery project: Connecting the Distance

We were also lucky enough for our Year 12 Theatre Studies students to be able to complete their impressive production, Earnest, just before stage 4 restrictions were introduced

My thanks to all those staff and students involved in putting together and participating in all these incredibly important and worthwhile activities.

We remain optimistic that sooner rather than later we will back together as a community in person again.
