Year 6 Transition - Amazing Race!

On Wednesday, 20 November, an Amazing Race was held for a group of Grade 6 children who were ready and eager to uncover the college grounds of Doncaster Secondary College with our friendly school dogs, Ziggy and Bowie, as well as our current Year 11 students, Gracen P (11V) and Jamil V (11V).

It was a hot afternoon but the students worked well together to follow the clues and find their way to the next station.

During the race, they were able to cool down once they found their way to the canteen with an icy cold treat.

They completed the race once they made it to the Wellbeing Garden, where they were able to have a rest in the shade, amongst the growing plants and artwork that Doncaster students have created and placed over the last few years.

A very big thank you to Gracen & Jamil who developed clues, considered prizes and lead by example while being with the Grade 6 students as they explored the college grounds. Their enthusiasm, excitement and positive spirit made the Grade 6 students feel very comfortable and welcome.
