Alumni vs Current Students Basketball Match!

In preparation for their upcoming USA basketball tour, the “Varsity” team, a group of Year 9 and Year 10 boys squared off against some of our Alumni, Nathan Scaglione, Justin Wong, Nick Fasanella, Daniel Ross, Christian Christopoulos and Nikolas Souliotis, who completed the tour in 2015.

It was a fantastic challenge for the boys to compete against much stronger and more mature bodies, similar to what they will be up against in America.

It was also a great opportunity for our past students to share memories, experiences and any advice to our current students.

The USA Basketball Tour runs every second year and is an option to all students in Year 9 and Year 10.

The tour focuses not just on developing knowledge and skills related to basketball, but also on developing cultural understanding and interpersonal skills.

The tour begins on the east coast of the USA and takes students to Boston, New York and Washington DC, before finishing up on the west coast in Los Angeles.

During their travels the students will participate in up to seven games against American high schools, 'homestay' with three different families, watch multiple NBA and NCAA basketball games, tour colleges, visit Disneyworld and Six Flags amusement parks, as well as see famous monuments and sights in each city.
