Do You Know?

Do you know that Compass has the highest level of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance?

What is PCI DSS compliance?

Overseen by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), an independent body founded in 2006, PCI DSS compliance refers to a comprehensive set of security standards, requiring that any organisation that stores, processes, or transmits customer credit card information maintains strict controls and a secure environment.

In order to achieve compliance, an organisation must demonstrate that they have implemented a number of mandated objectives, relating to technology design, network and physical data security.

Do you know that you should receive a confirmation email (and a reminder!) when you signup to volunteer using our online signup tool?

Sometimes automated, machine-generated emails end up in spam boxes or get blocked. Please search your 'Junk E-mail' folder for 'VolunteerSignup' to ensure emails are not being filtered as spam.

If you find an email from 'VolunteerSignup' in your 'Junk E-mail' folder, or to prevent future VolunteerSignup emails getting sent to spam, please add it to your Contact List, Address Book or Safe Senders List.

Do you know that the Department of Education does not provide personal accident insurance or ambulance cover for students?

Parents and guardians of students, who do not have student accident insurance/ambulance cover, are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance attendance or transport as well as any other transport costs.

Reasonably low-cost accident insurance is available if parents wish to cover any expenses not covered by Medicare and/or private health insurance. You may choose your own insurance company or contact EBM Student Cover. Please also visit Ambulance Victoria for membership information.
