OSHC Video

We are so excited to share with you our, ‘Welcome to OSHC’ video that Salaam and the students have created. The video is a quick snapshot of our day, showcasing our routines and some of the experiences that we offer at OSHC. Can you spot the ‘Oshctopus’ at the end?

Brownie Report

On the 25th June, Zac (Educator) and Cooking Club helped me make brownies. They were rich, chocolatey, smooth, delicious and mouth-watering. We made a great chocolate icing to go with it. It was made up of cocoa powder, milk, butter and icing sugar.

This morning (26 June), I spread and cut the brownies so they were ready for this afternoon. As soon as the first person arrived, they loved it! [Why wouldn’t they?] The more people, the more proud I felt. While I am writing this, I wonder, what I should make next time.

English Breakfast Report

The breakfast went really well this morning (26 June). We managed to cook everything, but it took a little longer than we thought it would. It was a bit of confusion with having juice and the breakfast, but everyone got what they asked for.

The bacon was really, really good and the scrambled eggs were perfect. The hash browns were also tasty. I think that we should try to aim to cook everything a bit earlier when we do it again. Overall it went really well for our first time. Next time we bet it will be better!!!

Outside Play

At OSHC we offer opportunities for children to go outside and participate in physical activities and play as a way of promoting and maintaining healthy habits and developing social skills with their peers. Even if it’s cold we allow children the choice of indoor or outdoor play.

Please encourage your child to bring extra clothing such as a jacket for outdoor play at OSHC, particularly in these colder months.

Assessment & Rating Visit

We had an Assessor (Leanne) visit us from the Department of Education and Training on Wednesday this week. It was a great opportunity to share our program and planning.

It’s going to be a long 4 weeks whilst we wait for the report!
